Asaduddin Owaisi furious over SIT investigation against IAS Iftikharuddin, said- harassment is being done on the basis of religion

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has raised questions on the SIT investigation against IAS Iftikharuddin, accused of spreading bigotry in UP. He alleged that harassment was being done on the basis of religion. Owaisi tweeted, "Uttar Pradesh government constitutes SIT to investigate 6-year-old video of Senior IAS Iftikharuddin. The video is from a time when this government was not even in power. It is clearly based on religion. It's a case of harassment."

Owaisi said that if the criterion is that no official should be associated with religious activity, then ban the use of all religious symbols/images in the offices. If it is an offense to discuss the faith in the house, then any official who takes part in a public religious festival should be punished.

The departmental inquiry started against RAS and RPS. Their role in REET was found to be under suspicion. This is the first such case in the state when action has been taken against RAS and RPS in case of copying or paper leak.
