Petrol Diesel Price Today: First of all, let us tell you the latest prices. On 31 October 2021, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased by 35 paise per liter. With this change in the rate, the price of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 109.34 per liter on the last day of October. While the rate of diesel in Delhi is Rs 98.07 per liter. At the same time, petrol is being sold at Rs 115.15 per liter in Mumbai. Whereas in Mumbai diesel is now selling at Rs 106.23 per liter.

So far this year, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased wildly. On January 1 (01 January 2021), the price of petrol in Delhi was Rs 83.71 per liter, while diesel in Delhi was being sold at Rs 73.87 per liter on the first day of the new year. Accordingly, in the year 2021, petrol has become costlier by Rs 25.63 a liter in Delhi so far. While the price of diesel has increased by Rs 24.20 a liter in the year 2021.
Similarly, in Mumbai on January 01, 2021, petrol was Rs 90.34 per liter, while the rate of diesel was Rs 80.51 per liter. So far this year in Mumbai, petrol has increased by Rs 24.81 a liter. Whereas the price of diesel has become costlier by Rs 29.37 this year within the last 10 months.
If the price increased by 30 percent in a year, if compared to the last one year, petrol has become costlier by Rs 28.28 a liter and diesel by Rs 27.61 a liter in Delhi. Petrol in Delhi was Rs 81.06 and diesel Rs 70.46 per liter on 01 November 2020 exactly a year ago. Whereas in metropolitan Mumbai, petrol has increased by Rs 27.41 a liter and diesel by Rs 29.37 a liter in a year. Prices have gone up by more than 30 percent in the last year. In such a situation, the common man is bound to be upset.
