T20 WC: India-Australia will clash in the warm-up match today, this target in front of Virat Brigade

Team India will go into the practice match against Australia on Wednesday with the intention of further strengthening its preparations for the T20 World Cup. India has to play Pakistan in the first match of the tournament on Sunday. This is the last tournament of Virat Kohli as captain and Ravi Shastri as a coach. This warm-up match will be played from 3:30 pm Indian time.

Team India will test its batting order

Virat Brigade is aiming to finalize the batting order in the second and last practice match. Ahead of Monday's warm-up match against England, Kohli had said that the top three positions are fixed, with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opening the innings while he (Kohli) will take the number three spot.

Young Ishan Kishan, who scored 70 runs in the 7-wicket win against England, has confirmed his claim of selection in the playing XI. Rishabh Pant (29 not out) was sent over Suryakumar Yadav and now it remains to be seen in which order he lands on Wednesday.

Rohit would like to try his hand in this match

Rohit did not bat against England, so he would like to try his hand in this match. The subject of discussion remains Hardik Pandya, who did not look comfortable against England. If he is not able to bowl even then it has to be seen whether the Indian team management will field him as a pure batsman.

Without his bowling, India will miss out on a sixth bowling option as one of the five bowlers may fail. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a wicket against England, but Jasprit Bumrah was in his best form. Mohammed Shami took three wickets but proved to be expensive. Rahul Chahar was also very expensive.

Talking about the current form, since the T20 World Cup 2016, India has won 45 by playing 72 T20 matches.

David Warner's poor form continues

Australia started off with a win, defeating New Zealand by three wickets in the first warm-up match. David Warner's poor form, however, continued hereafter the IPL and he was dismissed on the first ball.

Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson bowled well, but the middle-order batsmen failed. Ashton Agar and Mitchell Starc finally gave the team victory by playing short innings.
