According to the report, Chinese scientists and health officials were discussing different strains of corona in 2015 itself. At that time, Chinese scientists had said that it would be used as a biological weapon in the Third World War. There was also a discussion on how it can be manipulated and turned into an epidemic.

Why this claim might have merit
This report by the Australian media cannot be dismissed. Last year, the then US President Donald Trump publicly called Corona several times a 'Chinese virus'. Trump even went so far as to say that the US intelligence agencies have evidence of this and when the time comes, they will be put in front of the world.
