The company had already come under attack from the government for pre-booking satellite internet without permission. Now the company has started returning money to such customers. In the midst of all this, Sanjay Bhargava, head of Starlink India, announced to leave the job within three months.

Have already worked with Musk

It is noteworthy that Bhargava took over as the head of Starlink India on October 1, 2021. Now in exactly three months, he has left the post. He has worked with Musk in the past as well. Bhargava has been part of the global team that started PayPal.

Short tenure surrounded by controversies

This three-month tenure of Bhargava was not easy. During this, Starlink announced the launch of its service in India and started taking pre-bookings for satellite internet. The Government of India received complaints from somebodies regarding this. After this, the government clearly told Starlink that it cannot take pre-booking without approval.

Starlink returning money to customers

Starlink India had already taken pre-booking orders from around 7000 Indian people. The company had taken 99 dollars (about Rs 7,400) from such customers. The government had asked these customers to return the money. Incidentally, the company has started returning money to customers this week. The company is also going to apply for a license in India soon.
