Ruckus over removal from captaincy

After the removal of Virat Kohli from the captaincy and Rohit Sharma being given the command, such news coming is not a good sign for the Indian cricket team. Board President Sourav Ganguly had also given the reason for taking back the captaincy from Virat.

Sourav Ganguly had said that Virat was forbidden to leave the captaincy of T20 but he did not agree. After which the selectors and the board together decided that different captains cannot be kept in limited-overs cricket, so Rohit was given the captaincy of T20 and ODI.

Rohit Sharma ruled out of the test series

After the Test series, the ODI series between India and South Africa will start from January 19, with the first ODI on January 19 to be played at Boland Park, Paarl. The second ODI will be played in Paarl on 21 January and the third ODI on 23 January in Cape Town. India won the 6-match ODI series played in 2018 5-1 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.
