Foreign teams coming to India for the FIH Men's Junior Hockey World Cup have been exempted from segregation. They will only need to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 during their stay.

Poland has been included in the Junior Hockey World Cup in place of England, which withdrew from the tournament due to travel restrictions related to Kovid-19. The FIH Men's Junior World Cup will be played from November 25 to December 5 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Host India is currently the current champion in this tournament.

Apart from India, teams from Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, USA, Canada, Chile, Argentina, and Poland will participate in this tournament.

Mandatory protocols to be followed by foreign teams include the RT-PCR COVID-19 test for all participants at least 72 hours before their departure for India and mandatory airport testing for teams arriving from Europe and the Middle East are included.

In a letter sent to Singh, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Lav Aggarwal, wrote, 'All participants will self-monitor their health for 14 days after reaching India and if any symptoms of Kovid-19 are found in them, they will self-isolate, and report the same to the event organizers / nearest COVID health facility / national or state helpline.'

Apart from this, all the participants will have to maintain minimum public contact and they will have to follow the appropriate behavior for Kovid, such as wearing a mask throughout the tournament, maintaining physical distance, hand hygiene, etc.

The letter further states that if any participant is found to have symptoms of Kovid-19 during his stay in India, then his RT-PCR test will be done and the people who have come in contact with him will also have to be sent to the Sports Department on isolation.
