The health of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das (83), president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust area, suddenly deteriorated on Sunday night. The doctors of the district hospital in Ayodhya checked up the Mahant. After this, he has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow at 5 pm on Sunday. Medanta spokesperson Alok Khanna said that Mahant has urinary problems apart from breathing problems.
At present, preliminary investigation is being done by admitting Mahant Nritya Gopal Das to Medanta's ICU. He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors of Critical Care Medicine at Medanta. Only after the investigation report comes, anything further can be said. For now, his condition remains stable.
Nritya Gopal Das's oxygen level had reached 83,
Mahant's successor Kamal Nayan Das told that his oxygen level had come down to 83. At the same time, there was a complaint of cough, excessive urine discharge. His body was also vibrating. The doctors had given him some medicines at night after the examination, which gave him some relief. But not much improvement. Right now he is on oxygen support. Discharge is being done by putting urine bypass.
Mahant had a corona, last year also
, before being admitted to the hospital, on November 9, 2020, Mahant's health had deteriorated. Even then he had problems with breathing and low blood pressure. At that time, he was treated for 14 days at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. Mahant Nritya Gopal Das also got a corona infection after attending the Janmashtami celebrations in the first wave of the corona. Then he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for 26 days.
Mahant is also the chairman of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Nyas. They go to Mathura every year for Janmashtami celebrations. He had a corona infection after attending the same program last year. After the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya, Ram Lalla was shifted to a tent. After that, the Mahant did not go to see Ramlala for 28 years.
