25 जून 1990 : गिरिजा टिकू नाम की कश्मीरी पंडित की हत्या : सरकारी स्कूल में लैब असिस्टेंट का काम करती थी। मुसलमान आतंकियों के डर से वो कश्मीर छोड़ कर जम्मू में रहने लगी। एक दिन किसी ने उसे बताया कि स्थिति शांत हो गई है, वो बांदीपुरा आ कर अपनी तनख्वाह ले जाए। वो अपने किसी मुस्लिम सहकर्मी के घर रुकी थी। मुसलमान आतंकी आए, उसे घसीट कर ले गए। वहाँ के स्थानीय मुसलमान चुप रहे क्योंकि किसी काफ़िर की परिस्थितियों से उन्हें क्या लेना-देना। गिरिजा का सामूहिक बलात्कार किया गया, बढ़ई की आरी से उसे दो भागों में चीर दिया गया, वो भी तब जब वो जिंदा थी। ये खबर कभी अखबारों में नहीं दिखी। 

• 4 नवंबर 1989 को जस्टिस नीलकंठ गंजू को दिनदहाड़े हायकोर्ट के सामने मार दिया गया। उन्होंने मुसलमान आतंकी मकबूल भट्ट को इंस्पेक्टर अमरचंद की हत्या के मामले में फाँसी की सजा सुनाई थी। 1984 में जस्टिज नीलकंठ के घर पर बम से भी हमला किया गया था। उनकी हत्या कश्मीरी हिन्दुओं की हत्या की शुरुआत थी। 

• 7 मई 1990 को प्रोफेसर के एल गंजू और उनकी पत्नी को मुसलमान आंतंकियों ने मार डाला। पत्नी के साथ सामूहिक बलात्कार भी किया। 

• 22 मार्च 1990 को अनंतनाग जिले के दुकानदार पी एन कौल की चमड़ी जीवित अवस्था में शरीर से उतार दी गई और मरने को छोड़ दिया गया। तीन दिन बाद उनकी लाश मिली। 

• उसी दिन श्रीनगर के छोटा बाजार इलाके में बी के गंजू के साथ जो हुआ वो बताता है कि सिर्फ मुसलमान आतंकी ही इस लम्बे चले धार्मिक नरसंहार की चाहत नहीं रखते थे, बल्कि स्थानीय मुसलमानों का पूरा सहयोग उन्हें मिलता रहा। कर्फ्यू हटा था तो बी के गंजू, टेलिकॉम इंजीनियर, अपने घर लौट रहे थे। उन्हें इस बात का अंदाजा नहीं था कि उनका पीछा किया जा रहा है, हालाँकि घर के पास आने पर उनकी पत्नी ने यह देख लिया। उनके घर में घुसते ही पत्नी ने दरवाजा बंद कर दिया। दोनों ही घर के तीसरे फ्लोर पर चावल के बड़े डब्बों में छुप गए।आतंकियों ने छान मारा, वो नहीं मिले। जब वो लौटने लगे तो मुसलमान पड़ोसियों ने उन मुसलमान आतंकियों को वापस बुलाया और बताया कि वो कहाँ छुपे थे। आतंकियों ने उन्हें बाहर निकाला, गोलियाँ मारी, और जब खून चावल में बह कर मिलने लगा, तो जाते हुए मुसलमान आतंकियों ने कहा, "इस चावल में खून को मिल जाने दो, और अपने बच्चों को खाने देना। कितना स्वादिष्ट भोजन होगा वो उनके लिए।"

• 12 फरवरी 1990 को तेज कृष्ण राजदान को उनके एक पुराने सहकर्मी ने पंजाब से छुट्टियों में उनके श्रीनगर आने पर भेंट की इच्छा जताई। दोनों लाल चौक की एक मिनि बस पर बैठे। रास्ते में मुसलमान मित्र ने जेब से पिस्तौल निकाली और छाती में गोली मारी। इतने पर भी वो नहीं रुका, उसने राजदान जी को घसीट कर बाहर किया और लोगों से बोला कि उन्हें लातों से मारें। फिर उनके पार्थिव शरीर को पूरी गली में घसीटा गया और नजदीकी मस्जिद के सामने रख दिया गया ताकि लोग देखें कि हिन्दुओं का क्या हश्र होगा।

• 24 फरवरी 1990 को अशोक कुमार काज़ी के घुटनों में गोली मारी गई, बाल उखाड़े गए, थूका गया और फिर पेशाब किया गया उनके ऊपर। किसी भी मुसलमान दुकानदार ने, जो उन्हें अच्छे से जानते थे, उनके लिए एक शब्द तक नहीं कहा। जब पुलिस का सायरन गूंजा तो भागते हुए उन्होंने बर्फीली सड़क पर उनकी पीड़ा का अंत कर दिया। 

• पाँच दिन बाद नवीन सप्रू को भी इसी तरह बिना किसी मुख्य अंग में गोली मारे, तड़पते हुए छोड़ा गया, मुसलमानों ने उनके शरीर के जलने तक जश्न मनाया, नाचते और गाते रहे। 

• 30 अप्रैल 1990 को कश्मीरी कवि और स्कॉलर सर्वानंद कौल प्रेमी और उनके पुत्र वीरेंदर कौल की हत्या बहुत भयावह तरीके से की गई। उन्होंने सोचा था कि 'सेकुलर' कश्मीरी उन्हें नहीं भगाएँगे, इसलिए परिवार वालों को लाख समझाने पर भी वो 'कश्मीरी सेकुलर भाइयों' के नाम पर रुके रहे। एक दिन तीन 'सेकुलर' आतंकी आए, परिवार को एक जगह बिठाया, और कहा कि सारे गहने-जेवर एक खाली सूटकेस में रख दें। उन्होंने प्रेमी जी को कहा कि वो सूटकेस ले लें,  और उनके साथ आएँ। घरवाले जब रोने लगे तो उन्होंने कहा, "अरे! हम प्रेमी जी को कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुँचाएँगे। हम उन्हें वापस भेज देंगे।" 27 साल के बेटे वीरेन्द्र ने कहा कि पिता को अँधेरे में वापसी में समस्या होगी, तो वो साथ जाना चाहता है। "आ जाओ, अगर तुम्हारी भी यही इच्छा है तो!" दो दिन बाद दोनों की लाशें मिलीं। तिलक करने की जगह को छील कर चमड़ी हटा दी गई थी। पूरे शरीर पर सिगरेट से जलाने के निशान थे, हड्डियाँ तोड़ दी गईं थीं। पिता-पुत्र की आँखें निकाल ली गईं थीं। फिर दोनों को रस्सी से लटकाया गया था, और उनकी मृत्यु सुनिश्चित हो, इसके लिए गोली भी मारी गई थी। 

• मुजू और दो अन्य लोगों को मुसलमान आतंकियों ने किडनैप किया और कहा कि कुछ लोगों को खून की जरूरत है, तो उन्हें चलना होगा। आतंकियों ने उनके शरीर का सारा खून बहा दिया और उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। 

• 9 जुलाई 1990 को हृदय नाथ और राधा कृष्ण के सर कटे हुए मिले। 

• 26 जून 1990 को बी एल रैना जब अपने परिवार को जम्मू लाने के लिए कश्मीर जा रहे थे, तो मुसलमान आतंकियों ने घेर कर मार दिया। 

• 3 जून को, आतंकियों ने उनके पिता दामोदर सरूप रैना की हत्या घर में घुस कर की थी। उन्होंने पड़ोसियों से मदद माँगी, मुसलमान ही थे, नहीं आए। 

• अशोक सूरी के भाई को गलती से मुसलमान आतंकियों ने उठा लिया। उसे खूब पीटा, टॉर्चर किया और पूरे शरीर को सिगरेट से जलाने के बाद, अधमरे हो जाने पर, बताया कि वो तो उसके भाई के मारना चाहते थे। उसे छोड़ दिया गया। वो किसी तरह घर पहुँच कर भाई को भाग जाने की सलाह देने लगे। भाई ने सलाह नहीं मानी। आधी रात को वो आतंकी घर में आए, लम्बे चाकू से गर्दन काटी और मरने छोड़ कर चले गए। 

• सोपोर के चुन्नी लाल शल्ला इंस्पेक्टर थे। कुपवाड़ा में पोस्टिंग होने पर उन्होंने दाढ़ी बढ़ा रखी थी कि उन्हें आतंकी पहचान न सकें। एक दिन आतंकी खोजत

हुए आए और उन्हें पहचान नहीं पाए, और वापस जाने लगे। उनके साथ ही एक मुसलमान सिपाही भी काम करता था। उसने आतंकियों को वापस बुलाया और बताया कि दाढ़ी वाला ही शल्ला हैं। आतंकी कुछ करते उस से पहले उनके मुसलमान सहकर्मी ने छुरा निकाला और पूरा दाहिना गाल चमड़ी सहित छील दिया। चुन्नी लाल अवाक् रह गए। तब मुसलमान सिपाही ने कहा, "अबे सूअर! तेरे दूसरे गाल पर भी जमात-ए-इस्लामी वाली दाढ़ी नहीं रखने दूँगा।" फिर छुरे से दूसरी तरफ भी काट दिया गया। उसके बाद आतंकियों के साथ मिल कर चुन्नी लाल के चेहरे पर हॉकी स्टिक से ताबड़तोड़ प्रहार किया गया और फिर आतंकियों ने कहा, "दोगले, तेरे ऊपर गोली बर्बाद नहीं करेंगे हम।" रक्त बहते रहने के कारण उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। 

• 28 अप्रैल 1990 को भूषण लाल रैना के साथ जो हुआ वो मुसलमान आतंकियों की क्रूरता सटीक तरीके से बयान करता है। अगले दिन अपनी माँ के साथ घाटी छोड़ने की योजना थी, सामान बाँध रहे थे। मुसलमान आतंकियों की एक टोली आई और रैना के सर में नुकीला छड़ घोंप कर हमला किया। उसके बाद उन्हें खींच कर बाहर निकाला गया, कपड़े उतार कर एक पेड़ पर कीलें ठोंक कर लटकाने के बाद वो उन्हें तड़पाते रहे। भूषण बार-बार कहते रहे कि वो उन्हें गोली मार दें, आतंकियों ने इंतजार किया, गोली नहीं मारी। 
25 जनवरी 1998 की रात को वन्धामा गाँव के 23 कश्मीरी हिन्दुओं की हत्या पूर्वनिर्धारित तरीके से की गई। एक बच्चा जो बच गया, उसने बताया कि मुसलमान आतंकी आर्मी की वर्दी में आए, चाय पिया, और अपने वायरलेस सेट पर संदेश का इंतजार करने लगे। जब खबर आ गई कि सारे कश्मीरी पंडितों के परिवार को एक साथ फँसा लिया गया है, तब एक साथ क्लासनिकोव रायफलों से उनकी नृशंस हत्या कर दी गई। उसके बाद हिन्दुओं के मंदिर तोड़ दिए गए और घरों में आग लगा दी गई।

अगर सिक्खों की बात करें तो कई सिक्खों को उनके परिवार के साथ 1990 से 1992 के बीच इसी क्रूरता से मारा गया। इनमें कई जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस के सिपाही या अफसर भी शामिल थे। ऐसे ही 1989 से 1992 के बीच छः बार ईसाई मिशनरी स्कूलों पर मुसलमान आतंकियों ने बम धमाके किए। 

ये सब हुआ है, और लम्बे समय तक हुआ है। इसमें वहाँ के वो मुसलमान भी शामिल थे, जो आतंकी नहीं थे, बल्कि किसी के सहकर्मी थे, किसी के पड़ोसी थे, किसी के जानकार थे। सर्वानंद कौल सोचते रहे कि उन्होंने तो हमेशा उदारवादी विचार रखे हैं, उन्हें कैसे कोई हानि पहुँचाएगा, लेकिन पुत्र समेत ऐसी हालत में मरे जिसे सोच कर रीढ़ की हड्डियों में सिहरन दौड़ जाती है। 

ये आतंकी बनाम हिन्दू नहीं था, बल्कि ये मुसलमान बनाम गैर-मुसलमान था। आतंकी ही होते तो बाजार में घसीटे जा रहे लाश पर कोई मुसलमान कुछ बोलता, आतंकियों को घेरता, पत्थर ही फेंक देता। ऐसा नहीं हुआ। चार सौ सालों के इस्लामी शासन के बाद कश्मीर के गैर-मुसलमान सिमट कर 6% रह गए थे। 1990 की जनवरी से जो धार्मिक नरसंहारों का दौर चला और विभिन्न स्रोतों के मुताबिक तीन से आठ लाख कश्मीरी हिन्दू पलायन को मजबूर हुए।

• On 30 April 1990, Kashmiri poet and scholar Sarbananda Kaul Premi and his son Virender Kaul were murdered in a horrific manner. He thought that 'secular' Kashmiris would not drive him away, so he stayed in the name of 'Kashmiri secular brothers' even after persuading the family members. One day three 'secular' terrorists came, made the family sit in one place, and told them to put all the jewelry in an empty suitcase. He asked Premiji to take the suitcase, and come with him. Many Jammu and Kashmir Police constables or officers were also involved in these. Similarly, between 1989 and 1992, Muslim terrorists bombed Christian missionary schools six times.

All this has happened, and has happened for a long time. Those Muslims were also included in this, who were not terrorists, but were someone's co-workers, someone's neighbor, someone's acquaintance.
