The case of Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta's death in Gorakhpur has gained momentum. It is alleged that Manish died due to police assault. There have been two major turning points in this case. The first is that the Kanpur administration has done Manish's last rites in the early hours. The administration says that this step has been taken with the consent of the family. Second, a day before, a video of Gorakhpur's DM and SSP has surfaced, in which they are advising Manish's wife not to file a case in a threatening manner.

Manish's body was brought to his house in Kanpur from Gorakhpur at 9 am on Wednesday. Angered by the incident, the family refused to perform the last rites. His demand was that he would meet CM Yogi, demand action against the culprits, and take compensation only after that he would perform the last rites.

Akhilesh helped 20 lakhs
SP president Akhilesh Yadav also reached Kanpur on Thursday morning to meet the victim's family. Akhilesh Yadav has demanded a compensation of two crore rupees from the Yogi government for the family. He also announced financial assistance of 20 lakhs. Akhilesh demanded a probe under the supervision of the sitting judge of the High Court and said that the police are not able to protect but are killing people.

In the afternoon, there is also a public meeting of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Kanpur. The administration has assured Manish's wife Meenakshi to meet CM Yogi. Earlier on Wednesday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also spoke to Manish's wife over the phone.

In the video that surfaced on Wednesday, Gorakhpur DM and SSP were seen advising Meenakshi and her family not to register a case under any circumstances. This was a video made at the BRD Medical College police post. In this, Meenakshi is demanding justice from DM Vijay Kiran Anand and SSP Dr. Vipin Tada for her husband's death by taking a 4-year-old innocent son in her lap.

Confirming the video, Meenakshi said that on Tuesday night from 8 to 12 pm, the officials and the family met twice. In this, DM Vijay Kiran Anand and SSP Dr. Vipin Tada 'advised' not to register a case under any circumstances.

6 policemen suspended in a murder case registered
