बरेका ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 में निर्यातीत लोको से 60.68 करोड़ राजस्व की प्राप्ति की|
बनारस रेल इंजन कारखाना ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 के दौरान अब तक के सर्वाधिक रेल इंजनों का निर्माण कर एक नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित कर रचा इतिहास । इस वित्तीय वर्ष मोजाम्बिक को निर्यात 04 रेल इंजनों सहित कुल 367 रेल इंजनों का निर्माण किया गया, जो अपने आप में एक बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि है । इन 367 रेल इंजनों में यात्री रेल इंजन WAP7 कुल 31, मालवाहक रेल इंजन WAG9 कुल 332 एवं मोजाम्बिक हेतु 04 रेल इंजन सम्मिलित हैं ।
साथ ही बरेका ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 में निर्यातीत लोको से 60.68 करोड़ एवं वर्ष 2011 से अब तक कुल 704 करोड़ तथा गैर रेलवे ग्राहकों से वर्ष 2011 से अब तक 1837 करोड़ राजस्व की प्राप्ति की । वर्ष 2021-22 में बरेका ने निर्यातित रेल इंजनों के पूर्जों से 6.09 करोड़ राजस्व की प्राप्ति की जो पिछले वर्ष 2020-21 में 1.08 करोड़ थी जो पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 464 प्रतिशत अधिक है ।
इसी प्रकार गैर रेलवे ग्राहकों से रेल इंजनों के पूर्जों के आपूर्ति से 16.4 करोड़ की राजस्व प्राप्ति हुई जो पिछले वर्ष 2020-21 में 8.29 करोड़ थी, जो तुलनात्मक रूप से 98.6 प्रतिशत अधिक रहा ।

बरेका में बनने वाले डीजल लोकोमोटिव अफ्रीका में अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करा रहे हैं। आत्मनिर्भर भारत की संकल्पना को साकार करते हुए इन केप गेज डीजल रेल इंजनों को निर्यात के लिए भारत द्वारा डिजाइन

मोज़ाम्बिक के लिए निर्यात किया गया था
क्रैंक-केस असेंबली, जो रेल इंजन का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण आइटम है, इसे बरेका में इन-हाउस बनाया गया है। इन इंजनों को वर्तमान में कोयला खदानों से कोयला ढोने के लिए भिन्न-भिन्न इकाइयों में सफलतापूर्वक संचालित किया जा रहा है।
इन इंजनों का उद्घाटन औपचारिक रूप से मोजाम्बिक के महामहिम राष्ट्रपति ने 11 फरवरी 2022 को बीरा, मोजाम्बिक में जिम्बाब्वे के महामहिम राष्ट्रपति और भारत के उच्चायुक्त की उपस्थिति में किया था। इस प्रकार बनारस रेल इंजन कारखाना एक भरोसेमंद भागीदार और लोकोमोटिव निर्माण ब्रांड के रूप में विश्व पटल पर आया ।
परिणामस्वरूप, मेसर्स राइट्स के अधिकारियों के साथ जिम्बाब्वे के राष्ट्रीय रेलवे की पांच सदस्यीय उच्च स्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने भारत का दौरा किया।
महाप्रबंधक बरेका अंजली गोयल ने जिम्बाब्वे बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष एनआरजेड एडवोकेट मार्टिन तफारा दीन्हा, बोर्ड के सदस्य श्री इलेश कुमार पटेल, महाप्रबंधक सुश्री रेस्पिना ज़िनांडुको, ट्रैक्शन एंड क्वालिटी श्री लवमोर कटोन्हा और क्षेत्रीय अभियंता श्री त्सेत्सी एनडलोवु को बैठक के दौरान बधाई दी। राइट्स और उन्हें अपने निर्यात आदेशों को पूरा करने में पूर्ण समर्थन और मुस्तैदी का आश्वासन दिया।
महाप्रबंधक बरेका ने ज़िम्बाब्वे की टीम को यह भी आश्वासन दिया कि बरेका ज़िम्बाब्वे के राष्ट्रीय रेलवे के आर्थिक विकास और आधुनिकीकरण में भाग लेने के लिए बहुत उत्सुक है। ज़िम्बाब्वे के राष्ट्रीय रेलवे की टीम ने बरेका में उपलब्ध निर्माण सुविधाओं को देखने के लिए दिनांक 29.03.2022 को बनारस रेल इंजन कारखाना का दौरा किया।
इस अवसर पर बरेका के उच्चाधिकारियों की टीम के साथ प्रतिनिधियों की बैठक हुई। बैठक के दौरान, बरेका की क्षमताओं का प्रदर्शन किया गया और जिम्बाब्वे के प्रतिनिधिमंडल को निर्यात किए गए लोको के विवरण से अवगत कराया गया।
इसके बाद, उच्च स्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने बरेका कार्यशाला की विभिन्न शॉप जैसे न्यू ब्लॉक शॉप, इंजन टेस्ट शॉप, लोको असेंबली शॉप आदि का दौरा किया। शॉप के दौरे के दौरान, प्रतिनिधिमंडल को लोकोमोटिव के निर्माण में शामिल निर्माण के विभिन्न चरणों से अवगत कराया गया एवं बरेका में उपलब्ध अत्याधुनिक विनिर्माण सुविधाओं को भी दिखाया गया।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल को ब्रॉड गेज लोकोमोटिव से परिवर्तित मानक गेज लोकोमोटिव भी दिखाया गया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल बरेका में उपलब्ध डिजाइन क्षमताओं और निर्माण सुविधाओं से काफी प्रभावित हुआ ।
Banaras Rail Locomotive Workshop (Bereka) produced the highest ever production of 367 locos during the financial year 2021-22.
Total 367 locomotives manufactured this financial year including 04 locomotives exported to Mozambique.
Bareka received 60.68 crore revenue from exported locos in the financial year 2021-22.
Banaras Rail Locomotive Factory created history by setting a new record by manufacturing the highest number of locomotives till date during the financial year 2021-22. A total of 367 locomotives were manufactured this financial year including 04 locomotives exported to Mozambique, which is a huge achievement in itself. These 367 locomotives include passenger locomotive WAP7 total 31, freight locomotive WAG9 total 332 and Mozambique 04 locomotives.
Along with this, Bareka received 60.68 crores from exported locos in the financial year 2021-22 and a total of 704 crores since 2011 and 1837 crores from non-railway customers since 2011 till date.
In the year 2021-22, Bareca generated revenue of 6.09 crores from exported locomotive parts as against 1.08 crores in the previous year 2020-21, which is an increase of 464 percent over the previous year. Similarly, the revenue received from non-railway customers from the supply of locomotive parts was 16.4 crores as compared to 8.29 crores in the previous year 2020-21, which was 98.6 percent higher in comparison.
The crank-case assembly, which is the most important item of the locomotive, is manufactured in-house at Bereka. These locomotives are currently being successfully operated in various units for transporting coal from the coal mines.
These locomotives were formally inaugurated by His Excellency the President of Mozambique on 11 February 2022 at Beira, Mozambique in the presence of His Excellency the President of Zimbabwe and the High Commissioner of India.
Thus Banaras Locomotive Factory came on the world stage as a trusted partner and locomotive manufacturing brand. As a result, a five-member high level delegation from Zimbabwe's National Railways, accompanied by officials from M/s RITES, visited India.
General Manager Bareka Anjali Goel congratulated NRZ Advocate Martin Tafra Dinha, Chairman of the Board of Zimbabwe, Mr. Ilesh Kumar Patel, Member of the Board, Mrs. Respina Zinanduko, General Manager, Mrs. Lavmor Katonha, Traction and Quality, and Mr. Tsetsi Ndlovu, Regional Engineer, during the meeting.

General Manager Bareka also assured the Zimbabwe team that Bareka is very keen to participate in the economic development and modernization of Zimbabwe's national railways. Team of Zimbabwe National Railways visited Banaras Rail Locomotive Factory on 29.03.2022 to see the construction facilities available at Bareka.
On this occasion a meeting of representatives was held with the team of high officials of Bareka. During the meeting, the capabilities of Bereka were demonstrated and the Zimbabwe delegation was apprised of the details of the exported locos.
Thereafter, the high level delegation visited various shops of Bareka Workshop like New Block Shop, Engine Test Shop, Loco Assembly Shop etc.
During their visit to the shop, the delegation was apprised of the various stages of construction involved in the manufacturing of the locomotive and was also shown the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities available at Bereka. The delegation was also shown a standard gauge locomotive converted from a broad gauge locomotive.
The delegation was impressed by the design capabilities and manufacturing facilities available at Bereka.
