Out of 29, 7 students are first year students while the remaining 23 are second year students. Two of the infected have been admitted to Seven Hill Hospital in Mumbai. The condition of all others is stable and they are in quarantine.

All the medical students had participated in the cultural program

Regarding this corona explosion in KEM Hospital, Mayor Kishori Pednekar said on Thursday that due to cultural and sports function held in the college a few days ago, these students came in contact with each other and became corona positive.

KEM Hospital in Mumbai is the largest hospital in the city. It was declared a Kovid Hospital during the transition period. In such a situation, if after confirming the infection in so many people together, the hospital administration has started examining more doctors. It is believed that the number of infected may also increase.

3 thousand patients found in the state in the last 24 hours

According to the Maharashtra Health Department, 3187 new corona patients have been confirmed in the state in the last one day. While 49 patients have died. With 3187 new cases, the total number of infected patients in the state has now increased to 65 lakh 47 thousand 793. At the same time, the number of people who lost their lives due to this disease has gone up to 1 lakh 39 thousand 11.

138 crores for those who lost their lives during corona duty

Maharashtra government has approved financial assistance of more than Rs 138 crore for the families of police officers and other employees of the state who lost their lives in the line of corona duty. A person named Sanjay Dhule, a resident of Nagpur, has obtained this information under the Right to Information (RTE) Act.

Dhule had sought details with the Maharashtra Police regarding the total number of deaths due to coronavirus and the assistance provided by the government to the families of the deceased. In response, the government has said that Rs 138.50 crore has been approved for the families of 277 state police officers and Rs 53 crore for the families of 106 Mumbai Police officers/employees.
