Maharashtra state Mahila Aayog Commission along with TISS tata institute of social science jointly organised one day workshop at Sahyadri guest house, for the proper implementation of PWDV act 2005( protection of women's against domestic violence).
Maharashtra State Mahila Aayog Commission, along with TISS Tata Institute of Social Science, jointly organized a one-day workshop at Sahyadri Guest House for the proper implementation of PWDV act 2005( protection of women against domestic violence).
Dignitaries attended the workshop were Maharashtra State Mahila Aayog Commission President Roopali Chakankar, members Gauri Chabria,Maya Patole,TISS Dean Arwind Tiwari, and Vice Principal Dr. Singhi.
State Chief Roopali Chakankar said at present the most cases against the women's in the society is of domestic violence and physical and mental torture. The ladies are forced to bear it in their families, whether rich or poor. We have to get maximum cooperation and coordination from the society to eliminate this serious problems against women's in the modern society. Mahilas should be made aware of different rules and regulations enacted for their safety and respect in the society. They should use this act in there day-to-day lives for their safety.

TISS Dean Arwind Tiwari said respect and chivalry towards women's must be inherited right from birth in the families.
TISS vice principal, Dr Sonali, said law agencies must give maximum support to every mahila victim's approaching them for justice.
Other prime members participated were, Shobha shellar Zilla Mahila and the child development officer, Siddharth Desai from the Maharashtra State Legal Services Cell, and Reshma from Sneha sanstha, they all shared there experiences.
Besides this, many top police officers, security officers, members of social organizations, and law students participated in the grand workshop.
