Market closed in red mark for third consecutive day:Sensex 430 and Nifty lost 125 points from the upper level; IT, metal stocks showed pressure

There was volatility in the market on the expiry day of the September series. With this, the markets closed with a weakness for the third consecutive day. Sensex closed 287 points lower at 59,126 and Nifty fell 93 points to 17,618. Midcap and smallcap stocks saw gains. BSE Midcap index closed with a gain of 0.33% and Smallcap 0.56%. Earlier the market started in the green mark. Sensex opened at 59,549 and Nifty opened at 17,718.
Out of 30 stocks of Sensex, 21 shares closed with weakness and 9 shares with gain. In which POWERGRID shares closed down 2.67%, Asian Paints shares 2.34% and Axis Bank shares fell 1.87%. On the other hand, the share of Bajaj Finserv saw a rise of 2.19%, while the share of Bajaj Finance saw a rise of 2.05%.
Metal, IT, and auto stocks showed pressure during trading. On the NSE, the metal index closed 0.88%, the IT index 0.72%, and the auto index down 0.54%. On the other hand, the market got support from realty shares. The realty index closed up 1.47%.

1,427 shares closed in a red mark on
BSE, 3,424 shares were traded on BSE. In which 1,847 shares gained and 1,427 shares were seen trading in the red mark. With this, the total market cap of companies listed on BSE has crossed Rs 259.87 lakh crore.
The upper circuit in 403 shares on
BSE During trading on BSE, 220 shares were seen trading at a 52-week high and 24 shares were trading at a 52-week low. Apart from this, 403 shares got the upper circuit while 157 shares got the lower circuit. Earlier on Wednesday, the Sensex fell 254 points to 59,413 and the Nifty fell 37 points to close at 17,711.

Before the recent US stock market, there was mixed business in the US stock market. The Dow Jones climbed 0.26% to end at 34,390. The Nasdaq lost 0.24% to 14,512 and the S&P 500 rose 0.16% to 4,359.
