AB de Villiers tweeted, 'It has been an incredible journey, but I have decided to retire from all cricket. Since I started playing cricket with my elder brothers in my backyard, I have played this game with full joy and unbridled enthusiasm. Now at the age of 37, that flame no longer burns as fast.

37-year-old AB de Villiers is one of the most successful batsmen of IPL. AB scored 5162 runs in 184 IPL matches at an average of 39.70 which included three centuries and 40 half-centuries. In the first phase of IPL-14, de Villiers' bat was fiercely spoken. During this, de Villiers made a total of 207 in seven matches at an excellent average of 51.75. However, his bat remained silent in the second phase. Apart from RCB, AB has also represented Delhi Daredevils in IPL.
