रक्षा मंत्रालय (एमओडी) ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 में घरेलू उद्योग के लिए पूंजी अधिग्रहण बजट का 64 प्रतिशत हिस्सा निर्धारित किया था।
वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 के अंत में, रक्षा मंत्रालय अपने इस लक्ष्य को हासिल करने में सफल रहा है और प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' के दूरदर्शी उद्देश्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए भारतीय रक्षा उद्योगों के माध्यम से स्वदेशी खरीद पर पूंजी अधिग्रहण बजट के 65.50 प्रतिशत हिस्से का उपयोग किया गया है।
इसके अलावा, मार्च 2022 की प्रारंभिक व्यय रिपोर्ट के अनुसार रक्षा मंत्रालय वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 में रक्षा सेवा बजट के 99.50 प्रतिशत भाग का उपयोग करने में सक्षम है।

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) had earmarked 64 per cent of the capital acquisition budget for the domestic industry in the financial year 2021-22.
At the end of FY 2021-22, Ministry of Defense has been able to achieve this target and to achieve the visionary objective of 'Self-reliant India' of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Indian Defense Industries will acquire capital through indigenous procurement. 65.50 per cent of the budget has been utilised.
In addition, as per the preliminary expenditure report of March 2022, the defense ministry is able to utilize 99.50 per cent of the defense services budget in the fiscal year 2021-22.
