Air Pollution in Delhi Today, AQI: The level of pollution in the air of the national capital Delhi has increased, due to which a sheet of smog is being seen in the morning sky for the past several days. Today (Wednesday) in Delhi also the air quality ie Air Quality Index (AQI) has been recorded in the "Very Poor' category.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), Delhi's air quality was recorded at 382 on Wednesday morning. At the same time, in some areas, it has also been registered in the 'severe' category. According to reports, the Air Quality Index was recorded at 441 in Delhi University North Campus area, AQI 379 at Pusa Road, AQI 422 at Mathura Road, AQI 367 at Lodhi Road, and IIT Delhi.

However, due to strong winds, there has been a slight decrease in the level of pollution compared to the last 2 days. The Average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the capital was recorded at 376 at 9 am. The air quality in Delhi was recorded as 'very poor' on the previous day i.e. on Tuesday. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was found to be 381.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is defined as 'good' between zero and 50, 'satisfactory' between 51 and 100, 'moderate' between 101 and 200, 'poor' between 201 and 300, between 301 and 400. Between 401 and 500 are considered in the 'severe' range.

Foam in the water of Yamuna, cleaning is being done for Chhath

On the other hand, Delhi's Yamuna river has also become polluted due to pollution. Foam and toxic chemicals are visible in the waves of the river. However, the Delhi government has blamed it on the Haryana government. MLA Raghav Chadha said that the UP and Haryana governments are releasing dirty water and they do not care about it. In view of the Chhath festival, the work of removing the toxic foam of the Yamuna river also started.

The Delhi government has deployed about 15 boats in the Yamuna river, which are working to remove the foam present in it. In areas like Kalindi Kunj, a large amount of foam had collected in the river, for which the help of a boat is being taken. An employee of the Delhi Jal Board said that we are pouring water into the Yamuna to eliminate the toxic foam.
