Apple CEO Tim Cook said on Tuesday that he has invested money in cryptocurrencies. He said this during the New York Times DealBook online conference. Responding to Andrew Ross Sorkin, who is hosting the NYT'S two-day online summit, Cook shared his thoughts on the hot topic of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

In a recorded interview, Cook told Sorkin, "I think it's fair to own it as part of a diversified portfolio," reported CNBC. Well, I am not giving investment advice to anyone.

Cook said that he had been interested in cryptocurrencies for some time and was researching the topic. He explained that Apple is looking at crypto, but has no immediate plans to launch such a function in Apple Pay.

He also said that, unlike Tesla, Apple does not plan to invest in cryptocurrencies as a company. Because we believe AAPL shareholders do not buy AAPL stock for exposure to crypto.

Cook also said that Apple has no immediate plans to adopt cryptocurrency for its products. Also, Cook called NFTS (Non-Fungible Tokens) an interesting part of the cryptocurrency world. Similarly, when asked about Meta Platforms Inc. and its Metaverse push, Cook said that augmented reality for Apple remains a core technology for Apple.
