Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been sent to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody till November 6. Earlier last night, in the recovery case, the ED arrested Deshmukh, the former home minister of the state, taking big action.

After a 12-hour long interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate, the investigating agency found that none of the questions were answered satisfactorily by Anil Deshmukh. In such a situation, he was arrested and today on Tuesday he was produced in the court where he was sent to the ED's custody.

Arrested after interrogation,

Anil Deshmukh had himself reached the ED office on Monday at 11:55 am on Monday. He was summoned by the ED several times before but did not attend the interrogation. However, on Monday, he himself reached the ED office and joined the questioning.`

ED questioned Deshmukh for 12 hours. But the ED did not find any answer right, so Deshmukh was arrested. The ED has clearly stated that the former Home Minister of Maharashtra did not cooperate in the investigation.

It is being said that the statement of Anil Deshmukh was also recorded before the arrest. The statements of all those accused who had an active contribution to this crime were also placed before him. But Anil Deshmukh could not give a clear answer to any question. They just kept denying these allegations. Then the ED arrested him on the basis of its investigation.

What's the matter?

In the case in which Anil Deshmukh has been arrested, in the same case, the wife and son of the former Home Minister should also be questioned. He has also been summoned twice for questioning but did not reach the ED.

In March this year, Parambir Singh was removed from the post of Commissioner of Mumbai Police and made Director-General of Home Guards. After this, a letter from Parambir Singh surfaced in which he had written to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

In this letter, the former commissioner had claimed that Anil Deshmukh had demanded Rs 100 crore every month from Sachin Wajhe as Home Minister. Along with this, Deshmukh was also accused of taking money in lieu of transfer and posting of police officers.
