Kumar Sanu has done two marriages. He married Rita Bhattacharya in the 80s. Both knew each other from Kolkata. Kumar and Rita's married life was going well. Rita gave birth to a son Jan. He offered Kumar Sanu to sing a song in the film Aandhiyan. Jagjit Singh made him meet Kalyanji Anand and after his advice, he changed his name from Kedarnath Bhattacharya to Kumar Sanu.
