T20 WC, IND vs NZ: Good news for Team India, Pandya started bowling before the match against NZ

Virat Brigade is engaged in practice for the match against New Zealand in T20 World Cup 2021. This much-awaited match will be played in Dubai on Sunday. Before this very important match, relief news has come out for Team India. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is fit and has started bowling practice as well.

Hardik Pandya did fitness exercises under the supervision of strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai and physio Nitin Patel in Dubai on Wednesday. After this, he also bowled Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur in the nets for about 20 minutes. India's head coach Ravi Shastri and mentor MS Dhoni were also keeping an eye on Hardik's progress. Then after his brief bowling practice, Hardik took a throwdown from batting coach Vikram Rathod.

28-year-old Hardik bowled just 16 overs during India's tour of Sri Lanka in July due to a back problem. At the same time, not a single over was bowled for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the UAE leg of the IPL. Pandya also suffered a shoulder injury while batting during the match against Pakistan. Due to this, Ishan Kishan landed on the field for fielding in his place. Later, the Indian team management did not take the risk and sent Pandya for a scan.

Even before the start of the T20 World Cup, questions are being raised on Hardik's fitness. Hardik himself had said about his fitness before the match against Pakistan that he will not bowl in this match, but he can bowl when the knockout matches come near.

However, in the match against Pakistan, Pandya was not able to do wonders with the bat. When India needed quick runs in the last over, Pandya went on to walk the pavilion by scoring just 11 runs in eight balls. Pandya was caught by Haris Rauf at the hands of Babar Azam.

After losing by 10 wickets against Pakistan, India has little room for error in Group 2. The balance of the team has also been affected due to Hardik, not bowling. Now the chances of Hardik bowling in India's crucial match against New Zealand have increased.
