17वें मुंबई अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव (एमआईएफएफ 2022) के लिए प्रविष्टियां जमा करने की समय सीमा 20 मार्च 2022 तक बढ़ा दी गई है। फिल्म निर्माता अब 20 मार्च 2022 तक फिल्मों की वृत्तचित्र, लघु कथा और एनिमेशन की श्रेणी में अपनी प्रविष्टि जमा कर सकते हैं। 1 सितंबर 2019 और 31 दिसंबर 2021 के बीच पूरी हुई फिल्में एमआईएफएफ-2022 में प्रवेश पाने के लिए पात्र हैं।

महोत्सव के सर्वश्रेष्ठ वृत्तचित्र को एक स्वर्ण शंख और 10 लाख रुपये का नकद पुरस्कार मिलेगा। विभिन्न श्रेणियों में जीतने वाली फिल्मों को आकर्षक नकद पुरस्कार, रजत शंख, ट्राफी और प्रमाण पत्र दिए जाएंगे।

भारत 'आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव’ मना रहा है, वर्तमान संस्करण ने भारत@75 विषय पर सर्वश्रेष्ठ लघु फिल्म के लिए एक विशेष पुरस्कार देने का फैसला किया है।

इस महोत्सव में भारतीय गैर-फीचर फिल्म क्षेत्र की एक दिग्गज हस्ती को प्रतिष्ठित वी शांताराम लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। इस पुरस्कार के विजेता को 10 लाख रुपये की नकद राशि, एक ट्रॉफी और प्रशस्ति पत्र दिया जाएगा।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार के सहयोग से फिल्म प्रभाग, सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा आयोजित दक्षिण एशिया में गैर-फीचर फिल्मों के लिए यह सबसे पुराना और सबसे बड़ा महोत्सव दुनियाभर के फिल्म निर्माताओं को आकर्षित करता है। प्रतिस्पर्धी और गैर-प्रतिस्पर्धी वर्गों के अलावा, कार्यशालाएं, मास्टर क्लासेज, ओपन फोरम और बी2बी सत्रों जैसे इंटरैक्टिव सेशन महोत्सव के कुछ प्रमुख आकर्षण हैं।

16वें एमआईएफएफ में भारत और विदेश से रिकॉर्ड 871 प्रविष्टियां मिली थीं और इसमें भारत और दुनिया के अन्य हिस्सों से कई प्रमुख वृत्तचित्र, एनिमेशन और लघु फिल्म निर्माताओं ने हिस्सा लिया था। ग्रैंड जूरी में फ्रांस, जापान, सिंगापुर, कनाडा, बुल्गारिया और भारत की प्रतिष्ठित फिल्मी हस्तियां शामिल थीं।

17th Mumbai International Film Festival: Deadline extended for submitting film entries.

Filmmakers can now submit their entries by 20 March 2022; For this, films completed between 1 September 2019 and 31 December 2021 will be eligible.

MIFF 2022 will be organized from 29th May to 4th June 2022.

Special Award will be given for Best Short Film on the theme of India@75.

The best documentary will get the Golden Conch and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

The deadline for submission of entries for the 17th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF 2022) has been extended till March 20, 2022. Filmmakers can now submit their entries in the category of Documentary, Short Story and Animation films by 20 March 2022. Films completed between 1st September 2019 and 31st December 2021 are eligible to get admission in MIFF-2022.

The best documentary of the festival will receive a golden conch shell and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh. Attractive cash prizes, silver conch shells, trophies and certificates will be given to the winning films in various categories.

As India celebrates the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the current edition has decided to present a special award for the best short film on the theme India@75.

A stalwart from the Indian non-feature film sector will be honored with the prestigious V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival. The winner of this award will be given a cash amount of Rs 10 lakh, a trophy and a citation.

Organized by the Films Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in association with the Government of Maharashtra, it is the oldest and largest festival for non-feature films in South Asia attracting filmmakers from across the globe. Apart from competitive and non-competitive classes, interactive sessions like workshops, master classes, open forums and B2B sessions are some of the major attractions of the festival.

The 16th MIFF received a record 871 entries from India and abroad and was attended by leading documentaries, animation and short film makers from India and other parts of the world. The Grand Jury included eminent film personalities from France, Japan, Singapore, Canada, Bulgaria and India.
