India beat Australia by 8 wickets in the practice match. Rohit Sharma (60), KL Rahul (39), and Suryakumar Yadav (38) played useful innings.
Kohli also bowled in this match, as India is looking for a sixth bowling option. Smith told the 'Sydney Morning Herald, 'They are a great team and they have some great match winners.'
He said, 'They have been playing in these conditions for the last few months because the IPL is already over. They have got used to here.
Smith also scored 57 runs in 48 balls in this match and scored a half-century for the first time since March. He said, 'It was nice to spend some time at the crease again. It is not easy after the fall of three wickets.
