स्वतंत्रता सेनानी श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल के 115वें जयंती समारोह पर गुजरात के बेचराजी में प्रधानमंत्री का संदेश और उनकी जीवनी का विमोचन |

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने आज एक वीडियो संदेश के माध्यम से गुजरात के बेचराजी में श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल की 115वीं जयंती और उनकी जीवनी के विमोचन पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम को संबोधित किया। इस अवसर पर गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेंद्रभाई पटेल उपस्थित थे।

प्रधानमंत्री ने बेचराजी की गौरवमयी भूमि पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल को नमन किया।

प्रधानमंत्री ने समाज सेवा में श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल की उदारता और उनके बलिदान का उल्लेख किया। इस महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ने महात्मा गांधी के आह्वान पर स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में भागीदारी की और इसके बाद उन्हें साबरमती और यरवदा में बंदी बनाकर रखा गया।

प्रधानमंत्री ने श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल की उस घटना का भी वर्णन किया जो उनके भीतर की 'राष्ट्र प्रथम' की भावना को दर्शाती है।

जेल में रहने के दौरान श्री पटेल के पिता का निधन हो गया, लेकिन श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल ने माफी की शर्तों को स्वीकार नहीं किया, जिन्हें औपनिवेशिक शासकों द्वारा उन्हें अंतिम संस्कार करने की अनुमति देने के लिए रखा था। उन्होंने बहुत से ऐसे स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों का भी समर्थन किया जो गुप्त रूप से स्वतंत्रता की लड़ाई लड़ रहे थे।

प्रधानमंत्री ने स्वतंत्रता के बाद रियासतों के विलय में सरदार पटेल की मदद करने में श्री प्रह्लादजी पटेल की भूमिका को भी रेखांकित किया।

प्रधानमंत्री ने खेद जताया कि ऐसे कई महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों का इतिहास की पुस्तकों में कोई उल्लेख नहीं है। प्रधानमंत्री ने श्री प्रहलादजी पटेल की पत्नी काशी बा को भी श्रद्धांजलि दी। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि महान हस्तियों के जीवन और कार्यशैली का दस्तावेजीकरण बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि यह युवा पीढ़ी को प्रेरित करता है।

प्रधानमंत्री ने सभी विश्वविद्यालयों से स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के अज्ञात पहलुओं पर शोध और इन्हें प्रकाशित करने की अपील की। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि हमें श्री प्रहलादजी पटेल जैसे स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को नए भारत के निर्माण के उद्यमी के रूप में याद रखना चाहिए।

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, addressed a program organized on the 115th birth anniversary of Shri Prahladji Patel and the release of his biography, at Becharaji, Gujarat, through a video message today. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel was present on the occasion.

The Prime Minister paid homage to Becharaji's glorious land and paid tributes to the freedom fighter, social worker, Shri Prahladji Patel.

The Prime Minister mentioned the generosity and sacrifice of Shri Prahladji Patel in social service.

This great freedom fighter participated in the freedom struggle on the call of Mahatma Gandhi and after that he was kept captive in Sabarmati and Yerwada.

The Prime Minister also narrated the incident of Shri Prahladji Patel which reflects the spirit of "Nation First" in him.

Mr. Patel's father died during his stay in prison, but Mr. Prahladji Patel did not accept the terms of the pardon, which were put in place by the colonial rulers to allow him to be cremated. He also supported many freedom fighters who were secretly fighting for freedom.

The Prime Minister also underlined the role of Shri Prahladji Patel in helping Sardar Patel in the merger of princely states after independence.

The Prime Minister regretted that many such great freedom fighters did not find any mention in the history books.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to Kashi Ba, wife of Shri Prahladji Patel. The Prime Minister said that documenting the life and working style of great personalities is very important as it inspires the younger generation.

The Prime Minister appealed to all universities to research and publish unknown aspects of freedom fighters. The Prime Minister said that we should remember freedom fighters like Shri Prahladji Patel as entrepreneurs of building a new India.
