BIG BREAKING NEWS Lonavala, August 6: In a significant move under the drug de-addiction campaign, Assistant Police Superintendent Sathyasai Kartik has intensified actions against illegal activities and criminals in the Lonavala subdivision. Since taking charge, Kartik has launched a series of legal actions to curb the sale of narcotics, with the latest operations resulting in the seizure of illegal substances and the arrest of multiple individuals.

On July 29, 2024, Sathyasai Kartik received intelligence about individuals planning to sell MD powder in Pathargav village. Acting swiftly, Kartik’s team set up a trap near Maval Machi Hotel on the old Mumbai-Pune highway. At around 11:40 PM, they intercepted a suspicious vehicle and, upon investigation, found 5.05 grams of MD powder. The occupants, Yogesh Keshav Gaikwad and Narayan Sopan Dabhade, were arrested, and their four-wheeler was seized. The suspects admitted they were transporting the substance for sale. The confiscated items were sealed and brought to Kamshet police station, where an FIR was registered under the NDPS Act.

The following day, on July 30, Kartik’s team conducted another raid in Nangargaon village based on confidential information. The operations were carried out under the guidance of Pune Rural Police Superintendent Pankaj Deshmukh and Additional Police Superintendent Ramesh Chopde. Assistant Police Superintendent Sathyasai Kartik, along with his team including Sachin Raoul, Shubham Chavan, and others, played a crucial role in these successful actions.
