MNS Launches "Rojgar Hakk Saptah" for Navi Mumbai Residents

Despite a government resolution mandating 80% local hiring, MNS accuses government agencies of lax enforcement, leading to significant unemployment among Marathi youths. In response, last week, MNS, under Kale's leadership, submitted a letter to the Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department. The party's dissatisfaction with the government's response has led to this aggressive campaign.

MNS Launches "Rojgar Hakk Saptah" for Navi Mumbai Residents

Navi Mumbai: In a bid to ensure that 80% of jobs in Maharashtra's companies are reserved for locals, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has initiated a week-long campaign titled "Rojgar Hakk Saptah" from August 7 to August 13. This campaign aims to raise awareness and secure job opportunities for Navi Mumbai residents.

Campaign Activities:

  • Signature Campaigns and Awareness Drives: MNS spokesperson and Navi Mumbai city president, Mr. Gajanan Kale, announced in a press conference that the party would conduct signature campaigns at various intersections and outside railway stations. They will also distribute leaflets door-to-door, urging residents to support this initiative.

  • Collecting Resumes: MNS workers will collect resumes from unemployed youths and submit them to various companies, advocating for local hiring. Interested youths can send their resumes via WhatsApp at 9819113336 or email at connect.gajanankalemns@gmail.com.

  • Memorandums to Companies: The party plans to submit memorandums to companies, insisting they comply with the state's directive to reserve 80% of jobs for locals. Failure to do so, they warn, will result in intensified protests, including burning effigies of Industries Minister Uday Samant and Mangal Prabhat Lodha.

Government Inaction Criticized:

Despite a government resolution mandating 80% local hiring, MNS accuses government agencies of lax enforcement, leading to significant unemployment among Marathi youths. In response, last week, MNS, under Kale's leadership, submitted a letter to the Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department. The party's dissatisfaction with the government's response has led to this aggressive campaign.

Call to Action:

Kale emphasized the urgency of addressing unemployment in Navi Mumbai, urging the government to promptly register all companies and enforce the local hiring mandate. The MNS is prepared to escalate its agitation if demands are not met, ensuring that Navi Mumbai's youth secure rightful employment.

The press conference saw attendance from other key MNS members, including Savinay Mhatre, Vilas Ghode, Sachin Kadam, Abhijit Desai, Dr. Aarti Dhumal, and Sandesh Dongre.

This campaign reflects MNS's dedication to the economic well-being of Navi Mumbai residents and its ongoing commitment to ensuring that locals benefit from the city's industrial and economic growth.
