Navi Mumbai, August 22, 2024: The 57th Youth Festival organized by Mumbai University was held at Sterling College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Nerul, Navi Mumbai on the 20th and 21st of this month. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 54 colleges across various locations including Sion, Vashi, Nerul, Govandi, Chembur, and Vikhroli. Over 1,000 students took part in this vibrant cultural program, showcasing their talents across more than 20 fine arts events such as Western dance, classical singing, mono acting, and mimicry.

The festival was hosted with great enthusiasm by the college's principal, Prof. Dr. Ravivarma, with the strong support of management dignitary Mr. Amarjit Kharade. The entire faculty and student body of Sterling College worked tirelessly, extending their support until late evening on both days, ensuring the event's smooth execution.

Under the leadership of Dr. Manisha Londge, the cultural coordinator of Sterling College, the teamwork of the faculties and staff led to the festival's ultimate success. Their collective efforts were instrumental in making this youth festival a memorable and impactful event.

The festival was also well-supported by Mumbai University’s cultural coordinator, Mr. Nilesh Sawe, along with Head Zonal Cultural Coordinators, Prof. Sureka Shetty, and Prof. Girish Karnard. Their guidance and involvement were crucial in the festival’s smooth operation and success.

Students selected from this festival will be awarded and given the opportunity to represent Mumbai University at national-level events. This not only brings pride to the university but also provides a platform for these talented individuals to be noticed by the music and cinema industry, enhancing their prospects as they move forward in their careers.
