नौसेना की ओपन लेजर और बाहिया सेलिंग चैंपियनशिप- 2022

इंडियन नेवी वाटरमैनशिप ट्रेनिंग सेंटर (आईएनडब्ल्यूटीसी), करवार ने इंडियन नेवल सेलिंग एसोसिएशन (आईएनएसए) के तत्वावधान में 22 से 26 मार्च, 2022 के बीच नेवी ओपन लेजर एंड बाहिया सेलिंग चैंपियनशिप- 2022 का आयोजन किया।

भारतीय नौसेना की तीनों कमानों यानी पश्चिमी नौसेना कमान, पूर्वी नौसेना कमान और दक्षिणी नौसेना कमान, सात आईएनडब्ल्यूटीसी, आर्मी याटिंग नोड (मुंबई) के सभी याट्समेन और याट्सवुमेन और राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी के कैडेट्स ने करवार हार्बर में अपने नौकायन तथा जलकौशल का प्रदर्शन किया।

कार्यक्रम में लगभग 50 प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया, प्रतिभागियों के बीच टीम भावना बढ़ाने और नेतृत्व की खूबियां विकसित करने के लिए तीन विभिन्न श्रेणियों की नौकाओं में प्रतिस्पर्धा की। भारत की स्वतंत्रता के 75वें वर्ष के उपलक्ष्य में हो रहे ‘आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव’ के तहत करवार में 26 मार्च, 2022 को सभी प्रतिभागियों की जल परेड भी हुई।

यह चैंपियनशिप नौकाओं की तीन विभिन्न श्रेणियों लेजर (स्टैंडर्ड), लेजर (रेडियल) और लेजर बाहिया में चैंपियनशिप का आयोजन किया गया और तीनों श्रेणियों में कुल 12 रेस के साथ चार दिन में कुल 36 रेस हुईं।

मुख्य अतिथि रियर एडमिरल अतुल आनंद, फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग कर्नाटक नेवल एरिया ने तीन श्रेणियों में से हरेक के विजेता को पदक प्रदान किए। उन्होंने उच्च मानदंडों को स्थापित करने और असंख्य मौसम स्थितियों में उत्कृष्ट नौकायन कौशल प्रदर्शित करने के लिए नौसेना के याट्समैन और याट्सवुमेन की सराहना की।

Navy's Open Laser and Bahia Sailing Championships - 2022

INDIAN Navy Watermanship Training Center (INWTC), Karwar under the aegis of Indian Naval Sailing Association (INSA) organized the Navy Open Laser & Bahia Sailing Championship - 2022 from March 22 to 26, 2022. All the Yachtsmen and Yachtswomen of the three Commands of the Indian Navy i.e. Western Naval Command, Eastern Naval Command and Southern Naval Command, seven INWTCs, Army Yachting Node (Mumbai) and Cadets from the National Defense Academy displayed their sailing and aquaculture at Karwar Harbor. Around 50 participants participated in the event, competing in three different categories of yachts to inculcate team spirit and develop leadership qualities among the participants. A water parade of all the participants was also held in Karwar on March 26, 2022, as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', being held to commemorate the 75th year of India's independence.

The championship was held in three different categories of boats, Laser (Standard), Laser (Radial) and Laser Bahia, with a total of 36 races over four days with a total of 12 races in all three categories. The Chief Guest, Rear Admiral Atul Anand, Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area presented medals to the winners of each of the three categories. He commended the Navy's yachtsmen and yachtsmen for setting high standards and displaying excellent sailing skills in myriad weather conditions.
