कोरोना काल में लोगों की नौकरियां चली गईं। पैसों की तंगी शुरू हुई तो ऑनलाइन इंस्टेंट लोन ऐप ने ट्रैप करना शुरू कर दिया। देश के कई शहरो  में युवाओं ने छोटी-मोटी रकम लोन में क्या ले ली, उनकी मान-मर्यादा, यहां तक कि जान पर बन आई। घर की बहू-बेटियों को रेप की धमकियां दी जाने लगीं। उनकी न्यूड तस्वीरें मांगी गईं। रिश्तेदारों को पोर्न वीडियो की लिंक भेजी गई।

लोन लेने वाले जरूरतमंद लोगों को इतना बदनाम किया गया कि शहर तक छोड़ना पड़ा। कई पीड़ितों ने तो सुसाइड तक की कोशिश की। कई ने घर के गहने तक बेच डाले। फिर भी इन डिजिटल सूदखोरों के उत्पीड़न से छुटकारा नहीं मिला। पेमेंट में जरा सी देरी होने पर ये एक-एक दिन में दो-दो सौ कॉल करते हैं। लोन लेने वालों को गालियां बकते हैं। धमकियां देते हैं। पुलिस को ऑनलाइन लोन ऐप से जुड़ीं 40 से 50 शिकायतें रोज मिल रही हैं।
सेविंग हैंड ऑफ़ इंडिया की टीम कई पीड़तों के सहायता कर रही है ,उन्हें भी धमकी दी जा रही है.
